Daniel Crumback

I am an internationally respected leader and expert in physiological testing, data analysis and exercise and nutrition programming with over 30 years of experience working with medical, general, and athletic populations. I am a registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, High Performance Specialist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Chartered Activity and Exercise Practictioner, Physiotherapist, Sport Physiotherapist and Associate Fellow in Higher Education. My extensive and diverse background provides me with a unique perspective on testing and training.

After a highly successful 30 year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, I completed two years as the Director of Rehabilitation and Performance for Beijing Yanding where I taught exercise physiology, physiotherapy and performance coaching throughout China as well as working with Provincial, National, and Olympic athletes in a variety of sports. I was the Chief Technical Officer for China's External Clinic at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Upon my return from China, I was the Head of Science and Education for PNOĒ - a metabolic analysis company located in Athens, Greece - responsible for developing educational programming as well as working with clients to improve their testing, analysis and program design based upon metabolic testing results. I helped develop algorithms to analyse metabolic data, exercise programming for cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic limitations and created the Metabolic Analysis Certificate Program to educate medical, healthcare and trainers on metabolic testing and program design.

I then moved to England and completed two years at the University of Chichester as the Sport and Wellbeing Coordinator and lecturing in Physiotherapy and Clinical Exercise Physiology.

In August 2023, I moved to Cumbria and now provide physiological testing services in the Penrith area in concert with Absolute Physiotherapy. I am the Director of International Sales for KORR – a medical technology company located in the US.

I continue to provide courses on physiological testing, analysis and programming (PTAP) as well as regional injury prediction and prevention (RIPP). I offer international consultancy services to individuals, trainers and coaches, including test interpretation and programming services.

I am also the co-creator of assess.works - which makes physiological assessment easy, accurate, and scalable for professionals.
